Robert is a member of the American Culinary Federation and has been working in the culinary and pastry industry for over 14 years. He has worked for highly accomplished chefs at renowned establishments in the Houston, Texas area. Among them include Certified Master Chef Fritz Gitschner and Alex Darvishi at the Houston Country Club, where the Bush family used to spend most of their time surrounded by high end international politicians and delegates. He has competed in many American Culinary Federation mandated competitions, ultimately winning his way to the top and receiving a gold medal in the national culinary/pastry championships in July 2008, along with many other gold medals in other competitions.
Robert’s heritage is Hispanic, and his interests have taken him to the Culinary Olympics (IKA) in 2008. As an avid traveller, he has traversed the globe and visited places like France, Italy, Switzerland, China, and Australia. He says, “”I believe the industry has a never-ending array of information on culture and cuisine. The passion I have helps me learn something new every single day, and develops my professionalism as a chef.”
Chef Robert has teamed up with CHEFIN to create luxury experiences unseen in the dining scene before. He is also passionate about wine and, as a certified sommelier, can assist you in catering beautiful wine, beer, and liquor food pairings for your event.
Robert is currently travelling around Australia exploring indigenous ingredients and learning about the heritage of Australian Aboriginal tribes. He is available for high end events in Australia and around the world with advance booking and flights & accommodation included.
