Born in Mumbai and raised between the bustling Bollywood capital and the cultural hub of Pune, Chef Rushabh Rupani grew up surrounded by some of India’s most vibrant food traditions. Immersed in a world of spices, textures, and aromas, he learned early on to appreciate the artistry and heritage of Indian cooking.

His first inspiration came from his mother, whose passion and skill in the kitchen became the foundation of his own culinary journey. Her dishes, still admired by their community, instilled in him the belief that “a way to one’s heart is through their stomach.”

At just 18, Rushabh pursued cooking professionally. His ambition quickly took him from India to Sydney, where he refined his skills in a global culinary environment, working alongside world-class chefs. Here, he developed a distinctive style that fuses authentic Indian recipes with contemporary presentation and flavor profiles.

In 2017, as consulting head chef, he helped launch a progressive Indian restaurant in Sydney’s bustling Surry Hills. His influence shaped everything from concept to execution, resulting in a venue celebrated for pushing the boundaries of traditional Indian cuisine.

His reputation grew internationally in 2018–2019 when the Sydney Cricket Ground invited him to cook for the Indian cricket team during their three-month Australian tour. He crafted meals that balanced nutrition and flavor, earning praise from some of India’s most prominent athletes.

Today, Chef Rushabh brings his signature dishes and creative flair to private dining experiences across Sydney. Through his catering business and consulting work, he shares his passion for food while crafting menus that leave lasting impressions.
